Terms of service

Last updated: August 08, 2026
Important — no legal entity yet: The operator of rssdoc has not registered a legal entity. No company name, registered address, jurisdiction, or governing law is specified here because none exists yet. These terms describe the relationship between the user and the operator of rssdoc as a natural person operating the tool. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone as a formal legal agreement.

What rssdoc is

rssdoc is a feed diagnostic tool. You submit a feed URL, the tool fetches and validates it, and returns a report of defects. That is the full scope of the service.

rssdoc has no accounts, no user registration, no subscriptions, and no stored data. Each use is independent. There is no ongoing relationship between you and the operator beyond the individual request you make.

Acceptance

By using rssdoc (the website at the domain where these terms are published), you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the tool.

Use of the tool

You agree to use rssdoc only to diagnose feeds that you own or have permission to fetch. You may not use rssdoc to probe, scan, or test URLs you do not own or do not have permission to access. rssdoc fetches only the single URL you submit and does not crawl or follow links.

rssdoc is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. The diagnostic results are based on automated parsing of the fetched feed content. They may be incomplete or incorrect. Always verify critical findings manually.

Limitations

  • rssdoc does not save, store, or persist any data. Results exist only in your browser during the current page session.
  • rssdoc does not send email, alerts, notifications, or scheduled re-checks.
  • rssdoc does not submit feeds to any directory, aggregator, or third-party service.
  • rssdoc does not download enclosures, media files, or crawl beyond the single URL.
  • Feed fetches time out after 15 seconds.
  • rssdoc validates feed structure, not feed content. It cannot detect editorial problems.

Billing (Pro subscription — not yet available)

rssdoc currently has no paid features. The Free tier is complete and requires no payment or account.

A paid Pro tier is planned but not yet available for purchase. The following billing terms will apply once the Pro tier launches and a payment processor is connected.

No payment processor is connected today. rssdoc cannot accept real payments. The Pro checkout on the Pricing page is a demonstration only. No money is collected, no subscription is created, and no payment information is stored.

What you buy

A Pro subscription grants access to additional features beyond the Free tier: batch checking of multiple feeds, JSON export of diagnostic results, extended timeout for large feeds, and per-feed history stored locally in your browser. The exact set of Pro features will be detailed on the Pricing page at launch.

Price and billing period

The Pro subscription price will be set at launch and clearly displayed on the Pricing page. Subscriptions will be billed monthly (recurring every 30 days) or annually, at the option chosen at checkout. The price for the selected period will be charged at the start of each billing period. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.

Failed payments

If a payment attempt fails (card declined, expired, insufficient funds, or processor error), rssdoc will retry the charge automatically up to three times over a 10-day period. The first retry occurs after 3 days, the second after another 3 days, and the third after a final 4 days. If all three retries fail, the subscription will be suspended and the customer will lose access to Pro features. The customer may resubscribe at any time by providing a valid payment method.

Refund policy

All charges are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact the operator (contact details to be provided once a legal entity is registered) and the issue will be reviewed within 14 days.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current billing period. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the paid period and then reverts to Free. No partial refunds are given for the remaining days in a billing period.

Price changes

The price of a Pro subscription may increase in the future. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for their next billing period. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Prohibited uses

You may not use rssdoc in any manner that violates applicable law, infringes on others' rights, or imposes an unreasonable load on the underlying infrastructure.

Intellectual property

The rssdoc brand, name, logo, and site design are the property of the operator. The diagnostic report generated for a feed is information about that feed and is not claimed as proprietary content by rssdoc.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, rssdoc and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the tool, including but not limited to decisions made based on diagnostic results.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.

Governing law

Governing law and jurisdiction will be specified once a legal entity is registered. Until then, these terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator's jurisdiction of residence.

Contact

A contact method will be listed here once a legal entity is registered.
